Welcome to the wedding portfolio page. Couples who have gone through the process to confirm their wedding date on the Basilica's calendar are now ready to begin their portfolio for the Basilica staff.
Your Wedding Portfolio requires eight steps to be completed in a specific time-line relative to your wedding date.
Keeping up-to-date with your Portfolio is the Couple's responsibility. The realization of your wedding at the Basilica is dependent upon the satisfactory completion of all steps. The Basilica Staff cannot assume responsibility to remind couples of this obligation.
Please do not jeopardize your wedding by neglecting the timely completion of your Portfolio.
TIMELINE - Upon Confirming Wedding Date:
Please complete the following steps using the online forms located to the left.
STEP ONE: Now that you have confirmed your wedding date your next step is to complete the
Wedding Policies Acknowledgement. You must complete this form within one month of confirming your wedding date. This form requires that the couple abide by our policies. It also gathers information regarding the Priest in charge of your Pre-Cana as well as the Priest or Deacon who will be the Celebrant at your Wedding Ceremony.
6 Months Prior to Wedding:
STEP TWO: Request an Appointment with Music Director (Andrew Davis). Depending on the couple's location and ability to travel, this appointment may be in person, by phone or email consultation.
3 Months Prior to Wedding:
STEP THREE: Complete the
Altar Society form to the left regarding your Flower choices three months prior to your wedding date. This will help the office staff and the Basilica Altar Society know how to prepare the Basilica for your ceremony. Completing this form is required even when using your own florist. When using the flowers prepared by the Altar Society there is no fee, however donations are very much appreciated.
STEP FOUR: Complete the
Pre-Cana Status form to update the office staff to assure them that your Pre-Cana is on track for the Approval Process.
STEP FIVE: Have your
Vendors (all that apply) complete the forms no later than three months prior to your wedding date. You will have to give them the following website address and ask them to complete the appropriate vendor form:
saintlawrencebasilica.org/your-wedding-portfolio
This process helps the outside vendors you have hired to be aware of our policies and gives them contact information in case they have questions for the Basilica staff. It also gives the staff information about your Vendors so that we can help them coordinate their services for your special day.
2 Months Prior to Wedding:
STEP SIX: Complete the
Wedding Director Questionnaire no later than two months prior to the wedding date. This form will assist the Wedding Director in preparing for the Rehearsal and the Wedding Ceremony.
1 Month Prior to Wedding:
STEP SEVEN: Any remaining payments need to be finalized now. Please refer to the Fee Schedule you received after the initial Wedding Inquiry. Send to the Basilica any final payments still outstanding. Be sure to pay close attention to whom checks should be made payable to and send them to the Basilica in an envelope marked Wedding Director. Your payments will be acknowledged with an email, distributed, and wedding file updated.
Typically the payments due to be mailed to the Basilica at this time are for:
Celebrant (unless the couple has brought their own priest/deacon)
Music Director
Wedding Director
Please note that if your ceremony includes a Mass, altar server stipends should be given to the Wedding Director on the night of the Wedding Rehearsal in the form of cash. She will place the stipends in marked envelopes and distribute to the servers the day of the Wedding.
STEP EIGHT: Please complete the
Finalities form. This submission gives us any last minute details or changes that may have taken place since the Wedding Director Form was submitted.
