Donations to the Basilica

Catholic parishes depend on the generosity of parishioners and visitors to fullfill the mission of the Church. The following are the most common methods used to financially support the Basilica. For other methods of Stewardship click here.

Offertory

The Offertory is the traditional way in which parishioners and visitors support the local church. Regardless of frequency, your offertory funds daily operation at the Basilica, parish activities, and community outreach progams.

General Donations

Special and one-time donations can be used for the most immediate needs of the Basilica.  They may also be designated for a specific purpose (for example: debt reduction, building preservation, respect life, etc.)

Second Collections

These are annual collections taken at all diocesan parishes.  They support the Church's mission on local, regional, national, and international levels.

How to Give

Online Donations

Online donations may be made by clicking the "Online Giving" button in the sidebar. This is the easiest way for parishioners to give and for the Basilica to receive donations.

Offertory Envelopes

Parishioners who wish to use a more traditional method of giving may prefer offertory envelopes. Envelopes are provided to registered parishioners.
